Anthony G. Moccia, Jr., 84, of DeLand, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Orange City, Florida. Anthony was born on Sunday, December 26, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony G. And Henrietta (LaGamba) Moccia. Mr. Moccia proudly served his country faithfully in the U.S. Marine Corps serving in WWII and receiving the Purple Heart. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Anna C. Moccia, and a grandson, Robert A. Moccia, Jr. Condolences may be sent to the family by signing Anthony’s online page at WWW.WattsFuneralHomes.com. Mr. Moccia is survived by his sons: Robert A. Moccia of DeLand, Florida and Anthony G. Moccia, III of Lakeland, Florida; daughter, Diane Sweeney of Penn Sauken, New Jersey; one brother; two sisters; seven grandchildren; Many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. A Memorial Service will be will be 9 AM, Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 1625 Veterans Memorial Pkwy in Orange City, Florida. Simplicity Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., San Mateo, Florida.
