Carolyn Delos Williams-Baker 66, of St. Augustine, Florida entered the sunset of life on Thursday, September 22, 2011, after a short illness at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Florida. Carolyn was born in Palatka, Florida on Saturday, September 8, 1945 to the late Thomas and Arlena (Johns) Williams. Mrs. Baker was also preceded in eternal rest by her son, Danny B. Williams and sisters: Christine Williams and Mattie Williams. A life long resident of Palatka, she worked in the Putnam County School System, in the janitorial department and later worked at the Palatka Health Care in dietary department, having retired in 2007. She was a graduate of the Central Academy class of 1964. She was a member of the Palatka Church of God, and past member of the Grace and Truth Deliverance Ministries. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, cooking, spending time with family and friends, listening to her gospel music and reading her Bible. Mrs. Baker leaves to cherish her memory, sons: Craig Baker and wife Ann of Tampa, Florida, and Kenneth Baker of St. Augustine, Florida; daughters: Stephanie Baker Johnson and Antoinette Wright and husband Ronald all of St. Augustine, Florida; brothers: Thomas Williams, Albert Williams both of Palatka, Florida and Johnny Lee Williams of Perry, Florida; sisters: Earnestine Williams of West Palm Beach, Florida, Rudetha Williams and Elizabeth Nealy and husband Harold all of Palatka, Florida; grandchildren: Joey Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Tiffany Johnson, Bruce Johnson Jr., Travis Johnson, and Randy Hills Jr. all of St. Augustine, Florida, Michael Baker of Jacksonville, Florida, Maleka Baker of Tallahassee, Florida; Like a son, Randy Hills of Palatka, Florida; God sister, Constance Smith and husband Lutrell of Palatka, Florida; A host of aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends who will all miss her dearly; A Memorial Celebration of Carolyn’s Live will be 1 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Church of God, 3704 Crill Avenue, Palatka, Florida. Simplicity Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., San Mateo, Florida.
