Walter E. Shultz

Walter E. Shultz, 67 of Pomona Park, Florida passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Gainesville, Fl. e was born on April 24, 1944 to Bertie and Mary Thompson Shultz in Flint, MI.   Walter owned and operated a restaurant  Marie’s Café in Crescent City, Fl.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army.  Survivors are his loving wife of 48 years, Mattie M. Shultz;sons, Walter Shultz and wife, Jo Ann of Satsuma, Fl., Ricky Shultz and wife, Becky of Pomona Park, Fl., Donald Obuskowski and wife, Jean of Alpena, MI; daughter, Autum M. Lee and husband, Brian of Crescent City, Fl.; sister, Beverly Sexton of Gladstone, MI.; brother, Marvin London of Salem, OH; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Celebration of Life Service is planned for Saturday, February 18, 2012, 2:00 PM at 425 Pleasant Street in Pomona Park, Fl., Watts Funeral Home and Cremation

Ralph Eugene (Ralphy Dee) Webb

Ralph Eugene (Ralphy Dee) Webb, 30 of Satsuma, Floridapassed away Monday February 13, 2012at his home.  Ralph was born on February 27, 1982in Gainesville, Florida.  He loved country music, rock and roll and golden oldies.  He enjoyed bull riding, hunting and fishing. Ralph is preceded in death by his daddy, Ralph (Heavy) Webb, grandparents, Onda Lee Shackleford-Conley, Glenval Logan; great grandparents, Theodore and Louise Webb, Emmit and Della Shackleford; great great grandmother, Camille Branch;  and two great uncles, Nathan (Tiny) Webb, Kenneth Shackleford.  Survivors are his mama, Glenna (Yissle) Logan-Fox-Skipper of Satsuma, Fl.; daughter, Elizabeth Hart-Webb of Satsuma, Fl.; brothers, Henry Fox and wife, Celene, Mickey Allen, Kenneth Simon all of Satsuma, Fl., Sgt. Margaret A. Kilchriss

 

Margaret A. Kilchriss, 81 of Satsuma, Florida passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. She was born in Covington, Georgia on Friday, June 6, 1930. Margaret is survived by her spouse William H. Kilchriss of Satsuma, Fl. Son Ronald S. and Susan Kilchriss of Dallas, Georgia. Son Marlon Kilchriss of Satsuam, Florida. Daughter Karen Yvonne Wright of Austin, Texas. Five grand children and seven great grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of San Mateo. She enjoyed writing poems, sewing and crocheting. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Robert Connelly Stevenson

Robert Connelly Stevenson 72, of Georgetown, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Florida. Robert was born on Saturday, November 4, 1939 in Derby, Connecticut to the late William John and Viola Blanche (Walsh) Stevenson. Mr. Stevenson Proudly served his country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 22 years of service in the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. Helen McKeever Hendrix

Helen McKeever Hendrix 82, of Palatka, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Shands Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. Helen was born on Sunday, June 30, 1929 in New Orleans to the late Daniel J. And Beulah M. (Keller) McKeever. She is also preceded in death by her husband Calvin Hendrix, Sr., a brother in law John Arendt, and a nephew, Patrick Fleming. She was a member of St. Monica Church and the Ladies Auxiliary Post 3349 in Palatka, Florida. Her interest were, sewing, gardening, antiquing reading and an avid Bingo player. Darrell E. Meinke

Darrell E. Meinke 91, of Welaka, Florida passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Lakewood Nursing Center in Crescent City, Florida after an extended illness. Darrell was born on Wednesday, November 3, 1920 in Maquoketa, Iowa to the late Albert J. And Nellie (Blunt) Meinke. Mr. Meinke faithfully served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. A Submarine veteran serving on the USS Spearfish and the Icefish. He was an active member of the USS Florida Base Submarine Veterans. He is also preceded in death by a son David Meinke. Grace Lee Mann 87, of Salt Springs, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at her home. She was born in New York, but grew up in Jacksonville, FL. But resided in
Putnam County most of her life. She enjoyed her family, her horses, commercial fishing but most of all she enjoyed spending all of her time with her husband of 48 years Layton Harris SR. She was preceded in death by: her parents I.J. Pemberton (Alice), her biological mother Barbara Williams, brother Hugh Wilkins, her son Layton Harris JR. She is survived by her husband Layton Harris SR., son Jeffrey Harris (Stacy), brother Irving Pemberton, sisters Cathy Ponds, Beth Wilkins, Susan Wilkins and Grandchildren, Layton Harris III, Samantha Harris, Megan Harris, Becky Robinson, Bubba Robinson.
