Dora “Dotsie” Graham-Tate, 75, entered sweetly into eternity Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dora was born on Thursday, October 3, 1935 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the Late Joe and Ethel Gordy. Dotsie worked at Van Heusen for a many years before retiring to Florida. After retirement, She worked at Watts Funeral Home as a receptionist until her health failed her. She loved to collect doves, apples and any little dog statue that reminded her of her beloved “Pepper”.
Dora was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Edward Graham and Bruce H. Tate and her brother, Jack Gordy. She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Betty Haslerig and her husband, Richard of Rock Spring, Ga; brother, Thomas Gordy and his wife, Charlene of
Rock Spring, Ga; step-children, Waymon Graham of Mississippi, Robey Tate of Georgia, Terry Tate of Georgia, Lynn Clark of South Carolina, Cindy Fraiser of Mississippi, Cheryl Anderson of Georgia, Step Daughter-in Law, Doris Tate; Caregivers, Mike Haslerig , Ronnie, Leisa, David, Clint and Justin Haslerig, Russell and Ann Turley, and her Floridians, Jamie, Jessica, Landrum and Amylie Watts and the entire staff of Watts Funeral Home; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces , nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be 5-8:30pm Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Funeral Home. A Celebration of Dotsie’s life will be 11am Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Wallace-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette, Georgia.

It was a pleasure knowing you, at least now you and Pepper are together, again. I still remember my last visit with you in November of 2004 when Bill and Walter and I were at your sister Betty’s home and we ate, then sadly we had to leave. Bless you as you were a “Wonderful Lady” to have known and call a FRIEND.
