James Crawford, Jr. “Chicken” 49, of East Palatka, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his home following an extended illness. James was born on Friday, November 3, 1961 in Palatka, Florida to the late James Crawford, Sr. and Inez C. Johnson. He attended Palatka High School South. A member of the A.C.O.J. New Birth Ministry. “Chicken” enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. A man with the heart of gold that would lend a hand to everyone that needed him, he never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his father, James Crawford, Sr., sister, Sharon Johnson Haynesworth, grandparents, Willie and Alberta Johnson, uncles, Nathaniel Robinson and Sidney Crawford, aunt Hazel. Visitation will be at Watts Funeral Home Chapel 5:30-7 PM Friday, July 15, 2011. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus, 200 N. 4th St. in East Palatka, Florida.
