Neil V. Daniel, 65 of Palatka, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2011 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center. Neil was born in Alma, Georgia on Tuesday, October 8, 1946 to the Late Dave, Jr. and Oris (Edenfield) Daniel. Neil was a Proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Neil is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Daniel. He was a former employee of Florida Rock. He enjoyed listening to country music, spending time with his friends and family. Survivors are his sons, Brian Daniel of McRae, Georgia, Steven Daniel and wife, Shawna of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Dannie Carol Darby of Palatka, Florida; brothers, Dave Daniel Jr., and wife, Melanie, Bart Daniel Allen Daniel and wife, Tracy all of Palatka, Florida, Brett Daniel of New York; grandchildren, Cameron, Caden and Colby Daniel; numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Graveside Service will be Thursday, November 17, 2011, 2 :00 PM. at Etoniah Cemetery with Rev. Alfred Johns officiating. Military Honors will be bestowed by the U.S. Marine Corps. . In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177. No Visitation is planned. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., San Mateo, Florida.
