Roger D. Woods 68, of Palatka, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Florida. Roger ws born on Tuesday, June 6, 1943 in Palatka, Florida to the late Ralph B. And Vinie (Groover) Woods. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Groover. Roger worked at the Emergency Operations Center for Putnam County and was a member of the Amateur Radio Club with his call sign of “WA4COL” Condolences may be sent to the family by signing Roger’s online page at WWW.WattsFuneralHomes.com. Mr. Woods is survived by his loving wife Annice Woods of Palatka, Florida; son, Roger D. Woods, Jr. of England; daughter, Tammy Fryman of Sanford, Florida; sister, Juanita Alexander of Palatka, Florida; grandchildren, Kyle Fryman and Brandy Fryman; Many other family and friends who will miss him dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2011 in the Community Room at the Cherry Tree Apartments. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the family. Simplicity Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., San Mateo, Florida.
